Physicians Laboratory is under the active medical and professional direction of widely known and respected Board Certified Pathologists.
The directors include eight pathologists, all Board Certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology, as well as a Clinical Chemist, whom is Board Certified in Clinical Chemistry and Toxicology. Our pathologists are licensed by the State of Nebraska and/or Iowa with tenures ranging from 12 to 35 years. Active participation in professional organizations is an underlying fundamental conviction. Historically, our directors have served in the capacity of:
- Board of Directors of the College of American Pathologists
- President of the Nebraska Medical Association
- President of Nebraska Association of Pathologists
- President of Metro Omaha Medical Society
The directors of PLS currently serve on national, state, and local medical association boards and committees. They also participate on CAP inspection teams providing accreditation to other CAP laboratories.
Several pathologists serve as coroner’s physicians to Douglas, Sarpy, and 44 other counties in Nebraska and Iowa.
